Photo Challenge – Silhouette

The topic for the Daily Photo Challenge is Silhouette!

In May of this year I was heading home from a family visit in California.

I arrived in the Phoenix Airport for a layover and was focused on  getting to the next  terminal.

Looking around, I realized the inner corridor was lined with black glass that acted like a mirror, reflecting the hills and all the airport traffic.

Rather than continuing on my way (aren’t we always feeling rushed in airports?) I stopped to enjoy the view, then took a selfie while facing the black glass.

I was happily surprised when I looked at the photo and saw a silhouette rather than a reflection!

The Phoenix Airport is a thoroughfare for me.  Over the years I’ve taken a number of landscape photos from the airport the years as the arid landscape can be breathtaking.

This photo is unique because the landscape is clear even though I have my back to it!

I've always enjoyed writing and finally decided it was time to blog! As part of my profession I write every day, but I'm now trying to take the time to write creatively. My family and friends have been very encouraging as there is little that is written down in the way of a family chronicle. This is a favorite topic of mine! In addition to family history, I write about life, family, friends and faith. My husband is a full-time parent to our special needs daughter. I’ve explored this topic, too. I also enjoy music, crocheting, reading and relaxing with my family. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!

What a great picture………..the mussed hair does add to the detail of the silhouette.
Keep up the good work! Love you.
