Weekly Image of Life: Fun in the Sun

This week’s Weekly Image of Life theme is Fun in the Sun!

The theme comes from Island Traveler’s blog, This man’s journey

The timing for this theme is perfect.

You see, I’ve been receiving texts and other messages from family members who just arrived in Kauai!

You may recall that my parents recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary

Well, here they are again 0n their first visit to Kauai!

Aren’t they cute?

My sister sent a picture of a lovely morning.

I’m drawn to the long shadows cast by her and her husband.

Last but not least…

A trip to Kauai would not be complete without

Talk about fun in the sun!

I've always enjoyed writing and finally decided it was time to blog! As part of my profession I write every day, but I'm now trying to take the time to write creatively. My family and friends have been very encouraging as there is little that is written down in the way of a family chronicle. This is a favorite topic of mine! In addition to family history, I write about life, family, friends and faith. My husband is a full-time parent to our special needs daughter. I’ve explored this topic, too. I also enjoy music, crocheting, reading and relaxing with my family. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!

Thanks Cathy for sharing your fun in the sun. Your parents are adorable. You look a lot like your mother. Your parent coming for their first visit I’m sure, will be extending that shinning sun for as long as they are there.

  4. Your parents are so adorable.I admire their deep love for each other. Their smiles so generous, filled with happiness that is so inspiring. Love the shadows by the sand and last with a huge bang, the surfing picture made me jump from my seat. Truly a post that celebrates fun in the sun in the most meaningful way. Thanks for sharing yourself and your wonderful family with us . God bless you and your family always.
